Role Overview & Specifications

  • To perform diagnostics and repairs to computers/mobile handsets above the standard required.
  • Eliminate blacklisting, SIM card or network problems to ensure fault lies with the handset, or accessories
  • Perform functionality checks in order to eliminate user error Ascertain the warranty status of a handset in order to eliminate damaged equipment
  • Perform functional test of handset using RF test equipment and PC in order to ascertain the nature of the defect/s (where applicable)
  • Perform mechanical/cosmetic repair to handsets in order to remedy diagnosed fault Reflow circuit board components to effect repairs
  • Perform component repair in order to effect repairs Perform the replacement of complex components in order to effect repairs
  • Perform in depth fault analysis in order to effect repairs Repair to manufacturers guidelines in order to effect repairs
  • Support Product Support team and level 2 Engineers as and when necessary, in order to enhance the skill base of the workshop
  • Carry out soldering work where required in order to effect repairs
  • Achieve agreed targets as specified in order to meet the requirements of the business Perform in-depth electronic fault-finding techniques
  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
  • Travel to clients site to perform repair

Person Specifications

  • Proven experience as a Computer/Mobile Device repairer in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities in English
  • A Team player as well as has ability to work independently using own initiative.
  • Willing to travel to different sites for repair for our clients
