AECOM are currently looking for a Wastewater Design Lead to work on our joint venture with Caledonia Water Alliance where we have teamed up with Morrison Water Services to deliver Scottish Waterβs SR21 Water and Wastewater Infrastructure programme.
Are you an experienced design engineer capable of delivering detailed outline and designs of wastewater infrastructure? We have an exciting role in our Caledonia Water Alliance project team based in Stepps as part of our joint venture with Scottish Water.
As Design Lead, you will provide valuable support to Project Managers throughout the project design and delivery cycle, identifying the need for design resources and specialist input (ecological, geotechnical, hydraulic modelling, MEICA etc.) The responsibility of mentoring technical design staff and managing stakeholder expectations possessing knowledge of crucial design processes and communication skills.
Role responsibilities include timeous delivery, quality, cost, HSE and ensuring compliance with Scottish Waterβs established specifications and procedure. Delivering outline and detailed designs of wastewater infrastructure will also be a key focus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Engineering degree qualified.
- Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status).
- Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.
- Sufficient experience to lead major drainage infrastructure engineering projects.
- Ability to liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders.
- Provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to support and supervise junior staff.
- Flexible to travel to other AECOM and client offices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing the technical delivery of large-scale wastewater engineering projects
- Project management experience.
- Industry recognised Health and Safety qualifications.
- Experience of having undertaken a mentoring role in developing staff capabilities.
