We're looking for a Senior Medical Writer to join our team. You will work across several oncology publications accounts, collaborating with an experienced and supportive group of medical writers, account leads, strategists, and scientific experts.

The role

As a Senior Medical Writer, you'll help develop high-quality scientific content across a broad range of oncology publication activities. You'll work with our teams, authors, and clients to ensure that all materials are scientifically rigorous, engaging, accurate, and delivered to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical writer who enjoys working with complex scientific data and wants to develop their career within a medical communications environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop and deliver multiple oncology publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, and congress materials.
  • Interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data accurately.
  • Work with authors and subject-matter experts to develop publication content.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines across a busy account.
  • Apply publication guidelines, ethical standards, and best practices throughout the publication process.
  • Review and critically appraise scientific literature and clinical data.
  • Contribute to publication planning and strategic scientific discussions.
  • Work with account, editorial, and creative colleagues to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, where appropriate.
  • Provide scientific input and guidance to more junior members of the writing team..

About you

You'll be an experienced medical writer with a scientific background and a genuine interest in oncology.

We're particularly looking for someone who has:

  • Several years' experience in medical communications, within an agency environment.
  • Experience developing scientific publications across oncology.
  • A degree or higher qualification in a relevant scientific, medical, or life sciences discipline.
  • A strong understanding of the publication process and relevant industry guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to scientific accuracy.
