Role Overview & Specifications

Purpose of function/ main tasks:

The position will report to the Module Leader, with overall responsibility being with the Shift Supervisor



Set-up, running and maintenance of high speed production machinery



Working to achieve company objectives, in line with general production duties, with regard to:

Health & Safety

Quality

Efficiency and Spoilage targets

Operating production machinery

Work as part of a team

Trouble shooting and problem solving

Operation of semi-automatic bagging stations



Working to Company/Plant Standard Operating Procedures

Professional Requirements:

Education Level: HNC/HND / Time-served Apprenticeship or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering



Experienced in operating and maintaining automated production machinery within a fast speed, high volume manufacturing environment



Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve



A flexible approach to work content in-line with day to day requirements



A willingness to extend your range of required skills is essential



Evidence of self-motivation, an ability to use your own initiative and to accept a level of responsibility



Basic computer skills as some information systems based tasks will also be involved (full training will be given).



Shift Pattern:

4 on / 4 off 12 hours shifts in a fast paced Production environment



Package:

Salary circa: £51,000 per annum
