Job Title: Hygiene Operative

Reporting to: Hygiene Manager

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 20.00 – 04.30 (40 hours per week)

Starting Pay Rate: £13.11 per hour up to £13.66 per hour with overtime paid at 1.5 x rate after 40 hours

Areas of input to include:

  • Ensuring that production areas and machinery are cleaned prior to and at the end of shifts.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Site Hygiene Standards.

  • Ensure area compliance with legislation, Global Food Safety Standards, Site Technical strategy, and customer requirements.

  • To ensure their work complies meets the required standards specified in the CICs.

  • Safe storage of chemicals.

  • Completion of Hygiene paperwork.

  • Support and assist in maintaining the required hygiene standards within the Company.

  • Undertake any other reasonable work requests as directed by the Manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Background in Food production.

  • Able to work and interact as part of a team.

  • Follow instruction.

  • Able to multitask.

  • Able and willing to work the night shift.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Good timekeeping skills.

  • Good communication skills are written and verbal.
Needs to have or be willing to learn/undertake training:

  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Standards (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)

  • Food hygiene level 2

  • Proven Knowledge of COSHH, Cleaning Chemicals, and Safety Legislation
