Contract: Fixed Term 6-12 months
Working hours:, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to FridayHybrid:Office and home working in our Head Office, Sheffield, S35 2PW. Employees are able to utilise our office facilities more should they wish to. This can vary depending upon work requirements. We offer free onsite parking.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team for a period of 6 – 12 months.
Here is what you can expect to be doing…
Reporting to our Head of Supply Chain, you will take a hands-on approach to driving and developing the operational performance and service of all supply chain functions within B. Braun UK (this includes Distribution and Transport, Customer Service and Inventory Management teams – approx. 130 employees) allowing our Head of Supply Chain to focus on the longer term strategy of the business function.
During this period, there will be a key focus of supporting and guiding improvements within our Distribution Centre operations, working alongside the management team. This will be through a selection of strategic and tactical projects which are likely to involve initiatives within the areas of planning, training, reporting, and communication to develop processes and performance.
Your role will also include responsibility for:
Giving direction, guidance and support based on your proven experience of industry best practice to the teams
Ensuring that all teams process customer orders successfully to ensure agreed lead times and service levels are met
Developing KPI’s that clearly support our teams to achieve high performance and that provide wider visibility of performance to the Senior Management team
Driving up standards in all areas of operation to ensure that we are prepared for any planned changes and for our expected operational growth requirements
Ensuring compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory standards to certify that we are always ‘audit ready’
What will you need to succeed?
You will have been an experienced Distribution / Fulfilment Centre Manager with a deep knowledge of logistics best practice and distribution principles operating in a complex operation with a high level of manual processes.
You will have operational experience in a fast-moving medical distribution business or FMCG operation.
You will have experience of working within an international business and an international supply chain network
You will be able to demonstrate a track record of managing and delivering major operational change programmes
You will have knowledge of MHRA guidelines on the guidance principles of ‘Good Distribution Practice’ (GDP) – Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Distributors or experience in a similarly highly regulated environment / sector
You will be a leader of people and able to operate effectively at both senior and operational levels
