Who we are looking for
A Maintenance Engineer to support the Company’s operation in Stoke working as part of a team to maintain our varied portfolio in multiple locations on reactive and planned works.
You will maintain our buildings to the highest standards and meeting HSE building compliance legislation. You will be required to carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance.
You will be required to work five out of seven days, weekends may be required along with providing an on-call service.
Preferred skills and experience
Perform a wide scope of general maintenance tasks including joinery, painting and decorating, basic plumbing and electrical works to a high standard.
Experience and proficiency in multiple maintenance disciplines.
Experience of COSHH, risk assessments and permits to work.
Strong IT skills and experience of working with Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate to all stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise tasks with a flexible approach to working.
Work as part of a team and independently.
Possession of a current valid driving licence is essential.
Main Responsibilities
Carrying out proactive preventative maintenance in accordance with SFG20 standards.
Responding to requests that are raised through the Facilities Helpdesk.
Attending to all remedial maintenance work as discussed with the Maintenance Manager.
Carrying out minor plumbing and joinery repairs and maintenance.
Undertaking painting and decorating, equipment and building repairs as required.
Chaperoning contractors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Reporting and correcting any unreported faults noticed while carrying out duties to maintain the standards of upkeep at each of the properties.
Obtaining quotes for minor technical parts as authorised.
Completing collections and deliveries in a promptly manner as and when required.
Carrying out cleaning tasks across the properties and assists with basic garden tasks where requested.
Maintenance Engineer General, Multi-skilled Tradesmen/woman, Health and Safety experience, Painter and Decorator, Plumbing, Joiner, Driving, Cleaning tasks, General groundworks.
