Job Description
Manchester based, with flexibility to work from home
This role provides a complete HR administration and support service to the UK and Ireland business to ensure all CHEP employees HR People activities are consistent, compliant and have to ensure the customers and colleagues have a point of contact.
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the UKI HR database. Liaison with external agencies as appropriate and external business partners.
What will you do?
Administrative work
First contact for administrative requests of employees
Supporting payroll activities including providing documents relevant to the employee’s attendance
Owner of personnel files hard copy and digital files in the system
Managing the local safety at work and medical check portal
First Point of contact
Supporting the onboarding of new employees. Sending out invitations and to prepare the sessions.
Interface to the Facility teams for daily affairs
Support of HR function
Support to the HR Manager and HR Generalist on employee related queries
Work closely with AskHR team but also with the regional HR Operations team to support process improvement initiatives
Support of the HR Generalist with AskHR support and payroll and taxation topics
Support of the ER Specialist with note taking, training calendar management and general administrative duties
Who we are looking for?
HR related educational background or bachelor’s degree in human resources or in a relevant human resources technical discipline is an advantage but not essential
Experience of working with HR systems is an advantage
Open to change, self-organized, strong attention to detail, demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively in matrix organization
MS Office skills
