Are you an experienced B2B marketer ready to move beyond simply delivering campaigns and take genuine ownership of a marketing function?
I am partnering with an established, highly respected international business at an exciting point in its development. Following a recent management buyout and with ambitious global growth plans underway, they are looking for a Marketing Manager / Marketing Lead to help shape the next stage of their journey.
This is a newly created, highly visible role, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team and Board.
It is an unusual opportunity for someone who wants both strategic influence and hands-on ownership.
Tasks
You will take the lead in translating ambitious business growth plans into a clear and commercially focused marketing strategy.
This isn't a role where you'll inherit a large corporate marketing machine.
Instead, you'll have the opportunity to shape the direction of marketing, strengthen and evolve an established brand, support international expansion and new service launches, and gradually build the marketing capability around you.
You'll work closely with an existing Marketing Executive who supports the tactical execution, while you provide the strategic direction, commercial thinking and senior stakeholder partnership.
Your remit will include:
- Developing and delivering the overall marketing strategy in line with business objectives
- Acting as a trusted marketing adviser to the CEO, Board and senior leadership team
- Strengthening the company's positioning, messaging and external profile
- Supporting the launch of new services and expansion into new international markets
- Developing digital, social, content, PR and communications strategy
- Partnering with business leaders to turn marketing activity into tangible business-development opportunities
- Acting as guardian and ambassador of the brand globally
- Identifying opportunities to increase visibility with clients and the wider market
- Managing external agencies and specialist partners
- Measuring marketing effectiveness and ROI
- Leading and developing the existing marketing resource and helping build the function as the organisation grows
Requirements
We're interested in speaking with commercially minded marketers who combine strategic thinking with the willingness to execute.
You may already be a Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing, or perhaps you're a strong Senior Marketing Manager ready for the opportunity to step up and take ownership of a function.
You'll probably bring around 5–10 years of relevant B2B marketing experience, ideally gained within professional services, executive search/recruitment, financial services, private markets, consulting or another international B2B environment.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who can understand a business quickly and turn its ambitions into a compelling marketing proposition.
You'll need to be comfortable sitting across the table from senior leaders, contributing your own ideas and, when appropriate, constructively challenging their thinking.
We're looking for someone entrepreneurial, curious and commercially aware who can see both the big picture and the detail required to deliver it.
The organisation has been established for around 30 years, operates internationally and employs approximately 80 people across eight offices.
Following a successful management buyout, the business is entering a new phase of growth, making this an opportunity to influence what marketing looks like for the organisation rather than simply inheriting what already exists.
The successful person will have direct access to the CEO and leadership team, international exposure and considerable scope to grow the role as the business expands.
Location: Munich (or London)
Working model: Office-led/hybrid, with flexibility
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience 60k - 95K EUR
Start: Flexible, candidates with standard German notice periods are absolutely welcome.
