Join us as a Securities Lending Product Development Business Analyst
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Product Development Business Analyst to join our Securities Lending team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the Securities Lending electronic execution and analytic products. This is an opportunity for a curious and motivated individual to work in an intellectually challenging and multidisciplinary role with significant potential for personal and professional growth. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, have strong quantitative and technical skills, and be a good communicator
Some of your key responsibilities include:
Research
In collaboration with senior quantitative strategists conduct research to improve BBH electronic execution performance.
Develop and maintain quantitative models to support e-trading activities.
Use Python and other relevant libraries to conduct in-depth data analysis used to support the trading product.
Create and deliver data-driven insights and reports to management and stakeholders.
Electronic Trading
Monitor electronic trading book and work closely with traders to optimize execution.
Collaborate with BBH Systems and Risk Management teams to ensure systems controls are in place to manage risk effectively.
Diagnose and correct pricing model code when required
Development
Work closely with BBH Systems to align E-Trading code base with BBH development best practice.
Work with SL Management, Trading and Risk team to enhance BBH trading analytics platform.
Develop and deploy functionality to assist traders with day-to-day efficiency and performance gains
Work with external technology vendors to evolve BBH e-trading tech stack
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
Advanced coding skills in a scripting language a must, ideally hands-on work experience in Python or R.
Some exposure (academic or practical) to software development in an object-oriented language, ideally Java
Knowledge of Python Flask web development framework a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a team environment consisting of Traders, Sales, Product Specialists, Systems, Risk Management and other stakeholders
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives and to follow these through to resolution
Excellent work ethic and ability to meet aggressive deadlines
