Sitting in CBS Energy Supply (medium to large company energy supply retail) the main responsibilities of your role will be to ensure the accuracy of customer prices via validating both the input and output of the various pricing systems, and to ensure the maintenance and updating of Flexible contract customers’ prices into the Billing system. This role is a great development opportunity for someone who wants to start a career as an analyst who has strong numerical skills and/or who has recently graduated. We will consider visa sponsorship for this role.
You will have some of the following accountabilities in your role:
To prepare, review, validate and where necessary modify tender data received from our Sales team and use this data to generate accurate and cost reflective prices in a timely manner.
To receive, format, analyse and validate the forward commodity curve made and ensure the successful application of the latest available commodity curve within the pricing system.
Work with the Flexible Products team during the contract rounds to upload the Flexible contract prices to the billing system in an accurate and timely manner.
Support the Cost Forecasting analysts to prepare, maintain and update non-commodity costs into the various pricing systems.
Maintain customer portfolio information – site lists, meter details, consumption data, supply status.
Manage and respond to queries from colleagues, customers and third parties
Undertake portfolio and operational process analysis to ensure continual improvement in working practice and improvement in accuracy and efficiency.
We would like you to have some of the following experience:
Work Experience & Functional/Technical Skills
Some relevant work experience
Experience working with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
Proficiency with SQL or VBA would be beneficial
Numerically strong with high standards for quality and accuracy
Experience in an analytical or operational role.
Experience working to tight deadlines
Education and Certifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a numerical or statistical discipline) is desirable, but not essential.
