Job Description
We are looking for a creative, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious Business Intelligence Analyst with strong analytical skills to join CGG’s Business Incubator.
Reporting to the VP Geoscience, InCube, you will support each project team on business model development and market characterization, helping them to redirect the projects towards having a greater impact. You will provide insight to the business and market outlook and contribute to the strategy of each project.
You will be a focal point in setting up collaborations with other CGG Business lines as ideas progress towards becoming more mature (Market Strategy, Business development and Finance). You will contribute to developing the business focus of all initiatives within the InCube, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit.
Conduct market characterizations for each project or early ideas to derive insights and guide future direction.
Perform analyses related to market-trends , industry, competitor, and technology dynamics (E.g., market sizing, competitive landscape mapping, customer segmentation…) Stay up to date and provide regular updates and insights
Build business models and conduct revenue/scenario analysis to support decision-making
Research and understand the wider economics for each project topic/domain
Map gaps and explore possible M&A or collaboration opportunities
Contribute to risk and opportunity analysis
Act as a neutral 3rd party when evaluating current ideas & projects with a focus on preventing in-group decision bias.
Bring your knowledge of business models, to challenge and redirect the team
Support generation of ideas that are aligned with the InCube strategy See opportunities that are not readily apparent and build the case for completing those opportunities
This role offers the successful candidate the possibility to be hybrid in one of our UK hub locations (North Wales or Crawley) or work from our Massy office in France.

Qualifications
Masters level qualification; Business, Finance, or MBA
- Experience (2-3 years) from industries that develops a portfolio of various activities
Background in creating business models and analysis of business performance
Familiarity with analytical tools and databases to support strategy
Excellent communication skills – translating complex market research and analytics into insights and stories for stakeholders
A thorough comprehension of business practices and finance to be able to understand CGG’s framework and business objectives and support investments
Strong relationship building and influencing skills to engage stakeholders in a matrix organisation
Self-motivated and keen to bring new ideas to the team based on gaps in the market and CGG’s skill sets, team-oriented and agile
