MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB


  • This is an excellent opportunity to join a Global luxury retailer in a role with opportunities for development. Working alongside the commercial business finance team across the Watches & Fine Jewellery Division.

  • To lead the month end close, review cost centre reports and process accruals, prepayments and ad hoc journals for Watches & Fine Jewellery Division in accordance with deadlines

  • Hold review monthly meetings with key budget holders to review actuals and forecasts

  • To improve data integrity to further enhance FP&A reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Undertaking month end procedures for WFJ Divisions on a timely basis:

    • Thorough review of cost postings to ensure correct coding of cost centre and account

    • Posting of accruals and prepayments

    • Reconciliation to cost trackers held by budget holders where appropriate

  • Preparing monthly cost centre variance reports to be distributed to budget holders on a timely basis. Hold monthly meetings with key budget holders to review actuals and forecast

  • Provide monthly P&L commentary on relevant cost lines (variance to forecast and prior year)

  • Hold a monthly meeting with the senior business partner and head of finance to present risks and opportunities across cost centres

  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the Division

  • Maintain and update monthly dashboard reports containing financial and non-financial KPIs

  • Weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting covering sales, KPIs and headcount

  • Manage reporting of actuals (Q2, Q3 and year end), compile submission files in line with global deadlines

  • Take ownership of elements of P&L for forecast and budgeting

  • Headcount reporting

  • To calculate the monthly boutique commissions for Payroll

  • Capex follow-up

  • Support Invoices validation in the system

  • Support the audit at year-end

  • Support the WFJ Division with adhoc requests (pricing..)

PROFILE


  • Part qualified, currently studying towards a finance qualification (CIMA or ACCA)

  • Management accounting experience is required

  • Experience working in a Fashion Retail or Luxury industry, desirable

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines ensuring done to high standard

  • Challenging with an inquisitive mindset with commercial acumen

  • Positive and ambitious attitude with a willingness to learn

  • Intermediate experience of Excel

  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines with strong attention to detail
