Job Description

Part of the Core Network pillar, the Clearing and Settlement team is responsible for building the Clearing and Settlement platform. It automates the clearing and settlement with the card schemes, e.g. Visa or MasterCard. This is an essential part of the payment flow before funds become available for Checkout.com merchants.



The Clearing and Settlement engineering team is on a mission to scale the platform addressing the growth challenges using a rich toolbox of up-to-date technologies. Microservices, Event Sourcing, NoSql, Docker and automated end-to-end tests and deployment are only some examples of many.

What you'll be doing:

• 
  Discover, design, develop, and deliver new features on the platform and related services
• 
  Collaborate with globally distributed and multidisciplinary teams
• 
  Assist in requirements identification and in producing specifications
• 
  Create and maintain a development environment for efficient testing and integration
• 
  Write automated tests
• 
  Create and maintain technical documentation
• 
  Participate in team knowledge management and make recommendations for continuous improvement of SDLC
• 
  Contribute and adhere to API coding standards, best practices, and procedures

• 
  Enjoy learning new skills and using the best tools for the job
• 
  Strong knowledge and application of software design patterns
• 
  Strong Experience with .NET Core
• 
  Excellent practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
• 
  Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design
• 
  Experience with NoSQL
• 
  Experience with Unit and Integration testing
• 
  Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows
• 
  Cloud-based application development experience (we use AWS)
• 
  Excellent communication skills, ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• 
  Proficient in C#

• 
  IAC experience
• 
  AWS experience
• 
  Working within a microservices architecture/distributed architecture
• 
  Docker experience
• 
  Experience working in a compliance environment
• 
  Scalability and high throughput software
• 
  Finance/payments experience
