Chubb now has an opportunity for a Junior Proposal Writer based from our Blackburn Branch. The main goal of this role is to work on and create successful proposals for projects and new service solutions. As a Junior proposal Writer within Systems, you will form a key part of the team working toward the future success of the business.

(We are interested in speaking to engineers who want to move into a Technical Writing role or an English graduate, who has an interest in technical engineering.)

Job Description

What will I be doing as a Junior Proposal Writer for Systems?

• 
  Working as part of the Proposals team you will ensure the system designs and proposals are produced to a high quality and within the required budget and timescale.
• 
  You will develop, and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, clients, partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• 
  Take ownership of proposals, transforming technical details into a persuasive, proposal solution.
• 
  Depending on the nature of the proposal, the technical writing might only encompass a small section of the proposal or the entirety of the document.
• 
  Proposal responsibility throughout the sales cycle.
• 
  Preparation of technical documentation.

QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will possess:

• 
  Experience of the design of Integrated Security Systems (e.g. CCTV, Intruder and Access Control Networks) is beneficial but not essential
• 
  The ability to create a clear and concise written document, translating technical detail into an easy-to-understand proposal is essential
• 
  Ability to review tender documentation and understand customer requirements whilst identifying risks or non-compliances
• 
  Experience of successful proposal writing, using best practice processes in a fast-paced environment advantageous
• 
  Prior experience of the Security industry and compliance standards is advantageous
• 
  Current UK driving licence
• 
  Competence in the operation of all relevant Information Technology solutions and applications, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
