Qualifications and SkillsThe ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Degree or diploma in a computer-related program at an accredited technical college or equivalent certification
  • Any up-to-date IT qualifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA etc.) are considered an asset
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows Desktop operating systems (Windows 10 and 11
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office 365 administration and configuration (Exchange Online, Office Online Apps, OneDrive for Business, and Teams)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019 & 2022 administration
  • Good understanding of WAN and LAN communications (switches, modems, firewalls, and routers)
  • Working knowledge of Android and iPhone iOS
  • Experience troubleshooting both hardware and software issues
  • VMware, Proxmox and Microsoft virtualization is considered an asset
  • Understanding telephony systems is considered an asset
  • MacOS is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Candidate must possess the ability to effectively work in an organized, efficient, neat manner; attention to detail is a must
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of independent reasoning and troubleshooting, and possess the ability to work reliably and responsibly both independently and in a team environment
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, as well as occasional evenings and weekends and for occasional travel to other cities as required

Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a technology environment or similar role

Responsibilities

  • Reproduce, diagnose, and resolve technical problems encountered by clients, where required providing advice and training to clients
  • Communicate using phone, email, chat, and in-person with clients, providing technical support for our clients either remotely or in person
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Accurately log the support provided and time taken in the helpdesk software
  • Pick up tickets from the appropriate ticket queue
  • Document solutions to the technical problems experienced in our internal knowledge base
  • Work with the team to maintain our client’s documentation
