What You'll Do

Any other tasks as assigned by supervisorMaintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulationsOperates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelinesParticipates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety CultureGrading and inspecting in-bound loads of material; to include making deductions in loads that have excess such as dirt, trash, and/or plasticAssist in performing inventory on materialsIdentify and sort various metalsKeeping records of incoming loads, specific materials, customers' specific materialsLooking for and eliminating hazards from in-coming loads prior to processing, including chemicals, flammable material and explosive itemsSort, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of materials as regulated by lawKeep heavy equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairsOperate various fixed and/or mobile equipment; observing varying conditions; adjusting equipment controlsOperates equipment to move material around the warehouse/yardSort material by grade, size and per customer specs

What You'll Need

Ability to change priorities quickly, work effectively under time constraints and contribute to the teamAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to perform repetitive motions including finger movement, and twisting or pressure involving the wrists/handsAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shiftAbility to work in all weather conditionsExceptional customer service skills requiredExperience in either recycling or manufacturing environment preferredMinimum 1 year experience operating heavy equipment requiredMinimum 1 year experience operating hydraulic cranes required

Your Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
