Compass Associates are exclusively working with an Autism Accredited, non-maintained, specialist school and college, to recruit a new Head of Therapy & Clinical Services.

The school and college provide specialist education and therapeutic support for children and adults (ages 5 - 25) who have a diagnosis of Autism +/- additional complex needs or learning disabilities. All pupils have an EHCP and the school offers a range of therapeutic support including Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Equine Therapy, Music Therapy and Rebound Therapy. You would lead the well-established in-house Therapy Team which includes Occupational Therapists, SALTs and Therapy Assistants as well as working closely with the CEO to develop a new therapeutic community outreach provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist or Speech & Language Therapist who has experience working within specialist education settings with children and young people with Autism as you'd be able to work with children, deliver staff training, lead your own team and be involved in service development across the school, college and community outreach.

The site is commutable from: Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, Cheshire, Wigan, Bolton, Chorley, Preston, Ormskirk, Knutsford, Birkenhead, Runcorn, Ellesmere Port and surrounding towns.



Essential criteria:

Qualified Speech & Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist

HCPC registration

Experience working within specialist education with children who have a diagnosis of autism

Previous experience leading a team/supervising more junior colleagues

COVID vaccination, or willingness to be vaccinated, is essential unless medically exempt
