Q3 Academy Langley opened its doors in September 2016, becoming the first brand new secondary education provider in Sandwell in a decade. We are looking to add to our fantastic team of dedicated, hard-working colleagues, who contribute to a wonderful culture of work.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Modern Apprentice to join our already fantastic team of dedicated, efficient and hardworking colleagues, who contribute to a wonderful culture of work and play a key role in the day to day running of the Academy’s internal marketing.



Main duties:


  • Support with the writing and development to create contents for the academy webpage

  • Support with the administration of creating and maintaining a full programme of digital and offline marketing, communication and PR activities.

  • Edit images, videos and other materials, proof read copy and design basic marketing collateral and presentations

  • Support with the writing and optimise content for social networking accounts

  • Support with the creation of marketing material/content for the academy

  • Work with our SLT to edit and post videos, podcasts and audio content for our online sites

  • To participate in your own professional development activities and performance

  • management activities as required

  • To undertake the relevant apprenticeship qualification

  • To undertake other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager


Entry requirements



GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Essential



GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C) Essential



Willingness to engage with the apprenticeship programme and qualification



Willingness to continue with own CPD



Training to be provided



Digital Marketer Standard – Level 3



Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a Development Coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.



Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:




  • Using Social Media in a business environment

  • Developing social media campaigns

  • Social media advertising

  • Risk, Reputation & Crisis Response

  • Project Management

  • Search Engine Optimisation

  • Email marketing

  • Content management systems

  • Writing for SEO

  • Metrics, Analytics, Reports & Optimisation

  • Principles of coding level 3: Vendor Qualification

  • CIW Social media strategist: Vendor Qualification

  • CIW Internet Business Associate: Vendor Qualification
