Girlswear Designer.

£30-35k per annum

Central London

One of the leading suppliers on the UK high street are growing rapidly and looking to appoint a Girlswear Designer, reporting into the Design & Sales Manager. This is a brilliant role for a talented Girlswear Designer to work within a fun and dedicated working environment, offering thorough training and progression.

The designer will be responsible for:

• Colour, trend and market research
• Work to briefs, liaising with and meeting customers
• Liaising with the Far East office and factory
• Able to design to a price point for the value customer base
• Understanding of long lead products
• Developing commercial yet forward thinking fashion ranges
• Able to work to a fast pace
• Be a great team player

The ideal childrenswear designer will have:

• Experience on Girlswear, working on Leisurewear & Outerwear
• Some experience on womenswear would be an advantage
• Excellent CAD skills – illustrator and photoshop skills are essential
• Experience on CLO 3D would be an advantage
• Superb communication and presentation skills.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role is required
• Some graphic knowledge / experience
• Ability to develop rapport with buyers
• Knowledge of garment construction and specs
• Experience working with Far East factories
• Experience working with fast fashion (e.g. Primark) or supermarkets

This role is based in a central London office, in a super friendly fast paced environment, where a Designer can grow and flourish. This role is hybrid 3 days in the office/2 days at home
