Job Description
Our Commercial Development Manager has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Commercial Development Executive to join their team and really shape and develop the full potential of this role. In this role you will be primarily covering Croydon and the surrounding areas.
As a Commercial Development Executive you will be managing both a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) portfolio and New Business. Your primary responsibility will be to achieve the company’s revenue target for new business in line with the company’s strategy for customer size, type and service mix whilst retaining and developing existing accounts within an agreed portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include;
To identify and develop a personal prospect funnel sufficient in size to fund new business targets as laid down in the company’s strategic plan
Monitor performance of new customers to ensure they trade to agreed profile and terms. Agree and deliver action plans if variances occur and take steps to improve if profitability is not at an acceptable level.
Successful handover of new accounts trading below £750 per week to the relevant member of the Indoor Account Management Team within the first 12 weeks of trade
Successful handover of new accounts trading above £5000 per week to the relevant member of the CRM Team within the first 12 weeks of trade
To achieve productivity target as agreed and gain at least 8 new prospects per week
Contact existing customers at regular intervals to identify additional revenue streams to achieve yearly revenue target
Complete annual price increases (API’s) for all accounts within their portfolio
Find a mutually satisfactory resolution to queries/issues raised by customers to underpin long term account retention
To embrace all new products as and when launched by the company
To obtain all the correct documentation required to process a credit facility to a minimum of ISO standard
To strive for the 100+ qualification criteria each year
QualificationsAbout You
Your career history will clearly be able to evidence success within a sales or similar environment and a tenacious attitude and drive to succeed in a fast paced sales environment.
Your outstanding communication, persuading and influencing skills will be fully utilised in this role as will your ability to focus on your customers to fully understand their needs and gain their commitment.
We’ll also expect you to have;

Ability to manage own time effectively to meet targets and deadlines
Be able to adapt own style to suit the needs of internal and external customers
Effective problem resolution and objection handling skills
Have the ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic and resilient approach

A full clean driving licence is essential as is a flexible approach to travel and occasional overnight stays.
Additional InformationRemuneration and Benefits
Your package will include an excellent basic salary (inclusive of London Allowance) of circa £36,400 plus performance related commission, a company car or generous cash allowance, mobile phone and Laptop
