Role Overview & Specifications

We are looking for experienced, high quality care staff who can work a range of shifts.

Experience and a can-do attitude are essential for this role. The shift pattern is 8am - 8pm or the shifts can be split as 7am-1pm or 3pm-9pm but ideally applicants will be able to do a mixture depending on the needs of the service.

We are looking for the following skill sets:
  • You’re compassionate and committed with a desire to make a difference to those that you care for, in a positive and patient manner
  • Have a genuine interest in working with our client group
  • Ability to adapt your approach to the individual’s needs and a willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Be able to work flexible, 6 hour or 11.5 hour shifts that will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Experience in Health and Social Care is essential
  • Good team working skills
  • Nvq level 2 or willing to work towards one
  • A minimum of 2 years experience within a care setting
The Role
  • Ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our residents through their person-centered care plans to achieve and exceed potential
  • Promote the right values and attitudes towards people with behaviours described as challenging
  • Facilitating recreational activities of the residents choice
  • Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies and the management team to provide a consistent approach that meets the individual needs of each resident
  • Complete records and documentation of progress, incidents and activities
  • Promote and uphold the privacy, rights, dignity, health and well-being of the individuals
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Personal care duties

Salary: £9.50 per hour, moving to £9.79 per hour
