Job Role: Engineering Manager
Basic Salary: £55 000 - £57 000 Per YearLocation

PurposeManage the Engineering team to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient running of the equipment and machinery. Also leading the planning and management of multi-discipline projects including the coordination and integration of multi-discipline tasks, promoting effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams.
The Role & Responsibilities- Ensure the facility and equipment is maintained to a high standard.
- Ensure there is a robust PPM system in place.
- Deliver improvements in machine performance, including reducing downtime.
- Work with the Continuous Improvement team to develop and improve manufacturing processes with best practice and innovation.
- Engage the Engineering team to deliver on Engineering KPI’s.
- Accountable for the budgets for labour & materials, as well as capital expenditure.
- Deliver engineering strategy development.
- Driving continuous improvement and culture change through employee engagement.
- Define and implement comprehensive strategies to reduce costs, mitigate risk, shorten lead times and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with other functions including Production Management, Quality, Operations and Sales to improve production, quality and cost efficiencies.
- Analyse the performance data of machine runtime to understand shortcomings and propose improvements wherever necessary.
- Ensure engineering strategy and contingency plans are up-to date and carried out as required.
- Source service providers and contractors, ensuring and monitoring service, delivery and performance.
- Implement industry best practices, including preventative and reactive engineering.
- Build and nurture relationships across the business and with all external partners.
