Position Overview

Responsible for creative process, production and delivery of profitable designed motion artwork. Work


with the Creative Director to develop goals and standards for motion graphic artwork, 3D animation,


graphic design and storyboard development. Responsible for individual artwork pipeline management

and deliverables. This position reports to the Creative Director.

Key Job Responsibilities

Content Creation & Solution Development

• Operate authoring / design software, singularly or as part of a design team, to create digital
  

deliverables by leveraging various digital art disciplines.

• Deliver World Class Service - Ensure deliverables meet the quality standards and communication
  

objectives of the producer and client. Deliverables will be output to the required format.

• Drive Results - Work with the Project Manager and/or other members of the design team to
  

develop concepts that are of excellent quality and executable within an appropriate time-frame


and within budget perimeters.

• Remain aware of digital media trends and communicate visually.
  

Information Management & Organisation

• Organise and maintain workstation to ensure efficient operation.
  
• Hardware and software should be kept current through regular updates.
  
• Authoring / design files, assets, drafts, and final masters are to be organized and appropriately
  

backed up.

• Proper filing methods and naming conventions must be maintained.
  
• Do the Right Thing - Adhere to standard operating procedures for motion graphic artwork/ video

deliverables, content organisation and scope of work development.

• See the Bigger Picture - Be flexible and support team members if you have skills for additional
  

creative services (e.g. 3D visualisations and/ or graphic design) and the project business/order


situation requires it.


Industry Knowledge

• Research the latest and most impressive digital content and expand capabilities by running
  

tutorials and expanding knowledge of the software.

• Tutorial projects will serve the purpose of exhibition pieces to showcase capabilities and/or serve
  

as assets on future projects.

Internal Communication

• Promote Creative Services to internal clients during natural interaction.
  
• Value People - Share information and recommended best practices with any managers and / or
  

your colleagues served to improve understanding of workflow and efficiency beyond the


department.

Job Qualifications

Motion Design Artist

• 4+ years digital media production
  
• BA/BS degree in related field
• MA degree in related field preferred
• Ability to be part of and work within a larger design team
  
• Advanced computer skills on both PC and Mac platforms include MS Office products and
  

proficiency with photo and graphics production tools including but not limited to, Final Cut Studio,


C4D, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash, and ProTools

• Broad discipline specialisation among the following:

§ Layout, static graphics design,and/or presentation design

§ 2D/3D Animation

§ Color theory and typography

§ Special Effects and compositing

§ Video editing and compression

§ Audio editing and sound design

• Position will require knowledge of compression and delivery formats
• This position requires strong communication skills both verbal and written
  
• Drawing, painting, Web design or other physical art proficiency preferred
