Role: Accounts Payable Assistant Location: Central Team, County Hall
Reporting to: Transactional Manager
Overview
Administrative support and maintenance of the purchase ledger. Dealing with supplier payments, queries, and statements.
Key responsibilities
Β· Ensuring swift transit of supplier invoices onto the purchase ledger, importing, matching to POβs, obtaining appropriate authorisation, and posting to the purchase ledger.
Β· Ensuring purchase orders are raised and processed correctly by the various business partners.
Β· Reviewing Commission invoices, obtain POs and be a point of contact for Agents
Β· Assisting Transactional Manager with administrative management of the purchaser portal.
Β· Processing BACS payments and distribution of remittances.
Β· Supplier statements reconciliation.
Β· Developing/maintaining supplier relationships.
Β· Resolving supplier queries and liaising with internal business units.
Β· Creating and updating new suppliers accounts on the finance system.
Other responsibilities
Β· Develop and maintain good relationships with members of the venues and central teams
Β· Assist with the implementation and the data migration of the new ledger system
Β· Undertake requests for adhoc duties as required.
The successful candidate would ideally have:
Β· Relevant experience working in a similar Accounts Payable role
Β· System savvy and interested in new technical solutions
Β· Excellent attention to detail
Β· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and appropriate telephone manner
Β· Able to work to tight deadlines, organised with ability to multi-task
Β· Desire to develop and work as part of a team
Β· Computer literacy, including confidence using Microsoft Package especially Excel, accounts and purchasing software
Β· Flexible, can-do attitude and ability to work simultaneously across different systems
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Β£25,000.00-Β£30,000.00 per year
