We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to support one of our customers on a contract. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. The role is
This role will involve the Manufacturing Engineer to be based at the Expleo Chester office and will report directly to the Unit Delivery Leader (UDL).
Working within the ME team in the Business Unit, successful candidates will join our experienced team, with whom you will work on varied projects in high-tech and future-oriented industries taking on exciting and responsible tasks according to your skills and knowledge, thus expanding your existing know-how.
Responsibilities:
- Compilation and update of Manufacturing Work Instructions & Standard Operating Instructions, Line Balancing of Work Coontaent trackers
Produce Engineering outputs to meet on-target delivery dates and Quality requirements
Knowledge of Industrial Time studies and validating the processes in TiCON Global parameters.
Ensure ‘Right First Time’ is met in-line with Business KPI’s
Create, manage and implement ‘White space’ opportunities to support Line balancing
Elimination of waste associated with the task to reduce the disruption and diversion hours. ‘Red Space’
Be involved with continuous improvement process & offer improvement suggestions
Interface with stakeholders to understand Operational issues around proposed changes
Support the industrial validation process using PFMEA’s & other process proving activities - delete
The role will be to develop & manage current production processes to improve Quality, Cost & Time measures whilst supporting planning and the introduction of new products and processes
Attend reviews (both internal and external) where required
Working in accordance with Expleo QMS and customer quality requirements
Compilation of full independent reports in reference to the observation studies.
Delivery of final report of the ON site work studies.
Some shift working may be required.
Qualifications:
- Recognised Engineering Degree
Skills:
- Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality who can work and act autonomously
Ability to liaise at all levels of the business management structure
Excellent communication skills and decision maker
Have good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of making sound technical judgements and appropriate decisions
Practical problem solving and communication skills
Very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
In-depth knowledge of Line Balancing
Assertiveness, independent, structured way of working and the ability to find oneself in a multicultural working environment
IT toolsets for SAP / ARP and TiCON4SAP desirable for the Industrial work studies role on the shops.
IT toolsets for SAP / ARP and TiCON4SAP mandatory for the re calculations of the SOIs / Routing’s role.
Have a MTM skill set.
Experience:
- Good product knowledge of the Single Aisle – AIRBUS Wings desirable.
