Group Architect - UK

FFW Agency is looking for a strong Group Software Architect to join a brand-new program leadership team based inthe UK and working with some of the biggest brands in the world. You will be working on Drupal CMS, Vue.js based projects where complexity varies from small product sites to larger LMS websites, portals, logistics and product management systems and supporting the growth and shaping this team.

You will be responsible for 2 main areas: delivery and pre-sales, bringing a hands-on approach as you will be more involved in the delivery elements from the start.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for 2 main areas: delivery and pre-sales, bringing a hands-on approach as you will be more involved in the delivery elements from the start.

• 
  Collaborate with the design, development and client teams to find efficient technical solutions for business requirements
• 
  Design solid application and data architecture to meet the project needs
• 
  Oversee execution of key projects and help teams to solve challenges during ongoing project development
• 
  Coordinate and work on program and company level technical initiatives
• 
  Work on and oversee client specific tools and solutions that span multiple projects
• 
  Ensure the team understands system security, logging, monitoring and performance best practices to deliver robust and supportable solutions
• 
  Drive standards and quality of delivery with minimal technical debt

• 
  Work closely with the program leadership to support sales and pre-sales activities such as estimating new projects and preparing proposals
• 
  Analyze the requirements and propose technical solutions
• 
  Estimate projects and provide estimate reviews
• 
  Present proposals to the client and represent the team from the technical standpoint
• 
  Hand over won projects to delivery teams and ensure that all findings and expectations of the pre-sales phase are captured and understood

As a Group Architect, you will:

• 
  Have a track record of professional experience in a team lead, lead developer or similar position that includes pre-sales, architecture and technical delivery;
• 
  Proven experience of hands-on development experience;
• 
  Strong knowledge of PHP and either Drupal, Symfony or Laravel;
• 
  Solid knowledge of ES6 JavaScript and experience with React, Vue.JS or Angular;
• 
  Sound experience with relational and non-relational databases;
• 
  Experience designing and developing sophisticated enterprise systems;
• 
  Professional level English is required for this post.

•

  Experience with AWS ecosystem;
• 
  Solid knowledge of web server administration, virtualization and containerization (Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Vagrant);
