Job Description

This role is available on a mainly remote basis with occasional Shirebrook office presence when required

You will be joining our newly formed Technology Enablement team – a team who drive innovation and creativity across our wider IT function. Our mission is to build, define and deploy development best practices, and to be a central resource for adapting and rolling out best practice across the business.

We are right at the start of our DevOps journey- you will be defining and creating a DevOps powerhouse to help our product teams deliver high quality software quicker.

• 
  Working with our engineering and infrastructure teams to gather and translate requirements into deliverable solutions
• 
  Migrating applications into Docker ready for Container Orchestration with Kubernetes
• 
  Implementing CI/CD processes for releasing software across different environments.
• 
  Designing, implementing and testing new and existing Infrastructure as Code solutions
• 
  Using public/private cloud solutions to solve business problems
• 
  Reviewing and improving our end-to-end DevOps stack. Automating and simplifying components
• 
  Troubleshooting complex environments with curiosity and creativity. Learning and implementing solutions

Qualifications

• 
  3+ years in modern DevOps environments
• 
  Keen to drive adoption of new technologies and techniques
• 
  Docker / Kubernetes, both for CI / CD, and orchestrating in production with ECS / Fargate, AKS, OpenShift or Anthos
• 
  AWS/Microsoft certified with skills in a second cloud platform
• 
  Building deployment pipelines- GitHub
• 
  Building automation tools such as NPM, Gradle or Maven
• 
  Setting up and managing Cloud native environments using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), within AWS and / or Azure
• 
  Delivering containerised, serverless, and virtualised infrastructures
• 
  Comfortable with PowerShell, Python, Go, Bash or Ruby
