Job Title: Security Officer
Location: DL3 0PH
Hours: 40 hours +
Shift: Days, Nights and weekends
Rate: Β£11.10
Job Purpose:
To support ISS Management in the delivery of security services on site. To be responsible for carrying out all of the daily security functions as outlined whilst ensuring a consistent, professional and excellent service delivery to the client on a daily basis.
To be responsible for hi-lighting any operational risks requiring review on site and maintain a focus on delivery of exceptional customer service and mitigating risks to the firmβs assets, people and reputation, through a range of security solutions in line with the agreed output specifications and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Γ Physical Security, protection of client assets and people.
Γ Fire, Life & Safety
Γ Provide operational support and follow all reasonable requests as directed by Management
Γ Assist in maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety legislation
Γ Clear understanding of individual roles and responsibilities in relation to Incident Response & Escalation
Γ Ensure compliance and be fully conversant with Visitors/Staff entry and egress procedures
Γ Conduct any reasonable ad-hoc duties that may occur during the shift period as and when directed by Management
Γ Protection of the clientβs site, the clientβs staff, suppliers and visitors from theft, vandalism, violence and damage or other harm.
Γ Patrolling the clients site (internally and externally) to prevent fire, flood, theft and damage or circumstances
Γ Dealing promptly and professionally with any emergencies, suspicious incidents, events or circumstances
Γ Performing car parking duties on a daily basis as rostered
Γ Provide out of hours reception cover with the capability of providing support to the FOH team during the day as /when required.
Γ Issuing visitor and/or contractor passes as and when required
Γ Providing escorts as and when directed
Γ Be fully conversant with evacuation procedures
Γ Report any buildings issues or system faults to the Supervisor within a reasonable timeframe
Γ Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and the client.
Γ Assist in discharging the reporting responsibilities under the contract in relation to KPI and performance indicators
Γ Ensuring that any complaints are escalated to Management in a timely manner.
Γ Ensuring that all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational with any issues reported.
Γ Contribute to the provision of good quality incident reports either in hand written or electronic format
Key Issue
Γ Assist in maintenance of records of all keys issued on a daily basis.
Γ Out of Hours, receive and record all items of lost/found property
Γ Out of Hours arrange the return of lost/found property to the rightful owner following verification that the property is theirs
Γ Support the FOH team by ensuring all contactors provide the correct proof of identity prior to issuing an access pass and allowing entry
Access control
Γ Ensure an adequate stock of security consumables is kept within the office and advise the Supervisor as/when further stock is required
Γ Maintain/operate and administration of the access control system
Γ Ensure adherence to access control policy and procedures
Γ Respond to email and telephone requests relating to access issues in a timely manner
Γ Assist with the administration involved in building inductions including compiling and sending emails and taking photographs
Γ Issue and recover permanent and temporary access control cards
Γ The operation and administration of all other aspects involved in access control to a defined level
Γ Assist in maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.

Γ SIA Licence
Skills
Γ Client focus and understanding of expectations within client environment.
Γ PC literate β basic to intermediate understanding with Microsoft packages
Γ Communication and presentation skills
Γ Self-disciplined/flexible approach
Γ Ability to work under own initiative in a pressurised environment
