They are a globally disbursed business of 7000+ people split across 40 individual operating companies split across

Safety: protecting life as populations grow and urbanise, and protecting the lives of workers.



Environment: improving food and water quality, and monitoring air pollution.



Health: meeting rising healthcare demand as growing populations age and lifestyles change.

We are supporting the growth of the client's group level technology and transformation teams under their CTO. Which is based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. They are looking for candidates that can be in their offices there 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).





Recognizing the importance of creating digital business models to sustain our growth, they are implementing a new group-wide Technology strategy intended to facilitate future value



creation through the increased adoption of both operational and strategic technology. The scope of the technology initiatives within this strategy span Enterprise and Business



Application Architecture; Data and Analytics; Digital and IoT Platforms; and Core Technology Infrastructure.

Solutions Architect - Talent/HR and Workday

Summary



The Solution Architect, with specialisation in the area of Talent/HR and Workday, will report to the Chief Architect and will assist the Director of Digital Technology in ensuring that



technology initiatives are designed to support the clients 4.0 growth strategy.

Given the clients complex environment consisting of an HQ organisation and 40+ individual companies, the Solution Architect will support the setup of the new Talent/HR solution.

In addition to general solution architecture responsibilities, this role will act as the subject matter expert for the area of Workday and Workday integration and will provide critical



support in leading the design and delivery of the Talent/HR solution as part of of clients extensive transformation strategy.

Role Responsibilities



  • Business Analysis. Through consulting with the HQ and group companies, understand their requirements, and demonstrate use cases to show how the


Workday solution may be implemented and the benefits it will bring through adoption.



  • Work closely with the Chief Architect to ensure the Talent/HR solution is based on modern technologies that are scalable, secure, and offer benefits to the business and


supports integration at Group and with the Operating Companies.



  • Driving adoption of Workday best-practice principles and solutions across the group, with the goals to aid strategic growth, increase simplification, reduce implementation


times, and lower costs. This will be achieved through:



  • Recommend and take responsibility for the Talent/HR solution implementation


  • Create a set of evolving reference data architectures to refer to when integrating / utilising the new solution.


  • Providing best practice consulting expertise across the group for architectural strategy and implementation; equipping the companies with the tools to


digitally transform.
  • Spearhead my clients transformation of Workday with practical experience of implementing Workday solutions


  • Be the global subject matter expert of Workday solutions and all configuration / customisation across the suite.


  • Ensure Security as a principle is incorporated into every technology strategy and solution devised.


  • Work with partner organisations, vendors and service integrators to deliver the Talent/HR initiative.

Profile Attributes



  • Proven Technical Acumen - will have defined and executed enterprise wide Application solutions with a specialisation within Talent/HR solution focused


roadmaps and commercialisation architectural Technology strategies within the realms of the rapidly changing technology and security landscape. Possess a strong



understanding of Workday architecture and design approaches, with experience in informational, organisational and modern Technology layers to build scalable



platforms and products.



  • Operational Excellence - Experienced Solution Architect in a global company. Will have a track record of operational excellence, with experience in creating, managing


and executing application architecture strategies.



  • Entrepreneurial, “can do approach” – Will be determined, creative and resilient, with a ferocious work ethic. Will be highly resourceful and pragmatic and find a way to get


to the right answer. Will be comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, high-growth investment environment, and understand the complexity and challenges of navigating



a business through this phase of its lifecycle.



  • Commercial, Analytical and Strategic – Will have demonstrated previous success in using IT, innovation and digitization ecosystems as a competitive advantage for commercialisation purposes. Will be highly data-driven and make commercial solutions based on a detailed and creative use of data and analytics. Will be effective at distilling complex issues into simple, commercially compelling plans and articulating them in an equally succinct manner. Will have a strategic mind-set, with exceptional clarity of thought and problem-solving capabilities. Will adopt a hands-on


approach, and be close to the detail, as needed. Must be consultative in approach.

Business and Technical Experience Required



  • 8 years+ experience in architecting and implementing Talent/HR applications including practical experience of implementing these solutions to provide tangible


business benefits



  • 5 years+ experience in Workday and related capabilities


  • An expert understanding of Workday data integration strategies and the aspects of Talent/HR solutions / API based technology platforms that underpin them


  • Experience in a delivery-orientated Technology environment using the agile methodology.


  • A proven track record of successful implementation of Workday solutions within large client companies operating in multi-geography, multi-sector, multi-operating company


frameworks.



  • Experience working within a software delivery environment using Agile methodologies and tooling, such as Azure DevOps

Location



The clients office headquarters are located in Amersham in Buckinghamshire - 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is required)
