Post: Relief porter

Location: Aberdeen royal infirmary

Salary: Band 2

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a relief porter to work between our hospital site at Aberdeen Royal infirmary. On occasion there may be a requirement to assist other hospital sites within the NHS Grampian region, so flexibility is required. Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week on rota Monday to Sunday. This post is permanent.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Transferring patients between various areas of the hospital
  • Ensuring the safe movement of medical equipment
  • Transporting clinical waste and dangerous materials
  • Delivering patient notes

You should be physically fit. Applicants must hold a full clean manual driving licence. Good oral and written communication skills are essential for this role. Please note successful candidates will undergo a PVG check.

Full training will be provided.
