Anglia Plastics is situated in Biggleswade just off the A1 in Bedfordshire. We are part of the Oadby Plastics Group, which have branches and additional sister companies dotted all over the UK to provide our customers with the best service possible.
About the role as a Fabricator:
Read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications
Operate a range fabrication tools and machinery on a daily basis
Assemble and fabricate plastic products using a range of fabrication techniques
Verify dimensions of parts, using precision instruments
Produce finished parts from works orders or internal departmental requests to tolerances stated in an agreed time frame
Carry out checks in line with the company quality control standards
Carry out weekly machine checks and report any issues to the production manager
Keep work area clean and tidy at all times
Training and mentoring of existing and new colleagues
Participate in design reviews and production planning
What experience do you need to have:
Must have experience of working within plastic fabrication, and worked with a variety of materials and machines
Must be able to work on your own initiative and be confident is setting up machines
Must have good attention to detail and strive for 100% accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
