Warehouse Operative

Optime are excited to be recruiting Warehouse Operatives in partnership with DHL at Gatwick Airport. This job offers fantastic hours and overtime opportunities. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company and fantastic conditions and facilities.



What’s on offer: • Rate of Pay: £11.27 per hour (plus Holiday and Pension)

• Shifts: 2 x Days (6AM-6PM) / 2 x Nights (6PM-6AM) / 4 x OFF


• Hours: 40 hours per week PLUS overtime paid at x1.5


• £50 a month bonus after completing Security & NXCT (Screening Course)


• £10 a month bonus after completing DHL approved FLT Training


• Staff parking


• Weekly pay (Every Friday)

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensuring stock levels are accurately counted using handheld scanners


• Assisting with inbound/outbound deliveries


• Operating all equipment, as per training, to meet safety expectations


• Complying with strict security processes


• Travelling airside with deliveries to assist with unloading on-site


• General warehouse duties as instructed by your supervisor


• Always maintain a safe working environment

The ideal candidate:

• Great work ethic


• Ability to work in as team


• Experience of working towards targets


• Feels comfortable lifting items up to 23kg in weight


• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but is not essential


• You must be able to provide 5-year checkable history to secure long-term employment within this business

Successful candidates will need to partake in a drug and alcohol test during the interview process.

Due to the location of this warehouse a Driving Licence is preferred



Please note: As this is an Airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.
