Job Description

Management Accountant - duties:
  • Responsibility for period end journals
  • Provide meaningful P&L and Balance Sheet commentary on areas within responsibility both within the month end pack and by presenting to the Finance Manager
  • Responsibility for maintaining rolling business forecasts for CSO costs, liaising with relevant business partners to ensure the most accurate forward-looking view is obtained
  • Ownership of the annual budget for CSO costs and the DC
  • Rigorous review of business partner assumptions and challenging these where appropriate
  • Preparation of board presentation packs
  • Assist in the year-end audit process, providing the auditors with all schedules and explanations that they require
  • Assist in the production of UK and European branch tax returns as per required deadlines
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations at each period end, ensuring reconciling items are resolved on a timely basis

  • Co-ordinating with business partners to ensure that spending is proactively managed against budget and providing them with all necessary support to understand performance

  • Working with the business on cost control/initiatives in relation to CSO and the DC

The Successful Applicant

Management Accountant - will possess:

  • Relevant experience in management accounts
  • Retail experience desirable but not essential

  • Studying towards ACCA or CIMA qualification (or qualified by experience)

  • Confident and inquisitive
  • Strong excel ability

  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
