Job Scope and Role Responsibilities



To participate in the identification of opportunities and improvements to reduce waste and improve quality within the business.



Main duties include:

Participate and support in problem solving activities to minimise scrap, improve process capability and other Quality KPI’s



Support in the investigation and resolution of chronic quality issues to prevent reoccurrence



Promote best quality practice across the business



Participate and support in cross-functional improvement teams in Quality projects to meet objectives and deadlines.



To identify and prepare quality related training, and deliver where appropriate



Actively participate in and support the introduction of new / modified processes, software and equipment.



Network with team members across the globe



Create and generate reports to monitor performance



Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve processes



Adapt data systems to improve accuracy, detail and visualisation of data



As we consider the postgraduate placement to be an integral part of the team we require the following:



Degree in a Maths, Science, Engineering or Computer Science related subject essential

Work experience highly desirable (undergraduate placement, factory or corporate environment preferred)

Good keyboard skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Good organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative or in a team

Adaptable and flexible in approach and mindset

Excellent communication skills, able to deal with people at different levels of the organisation

Ability to influence, negotiate and drive forward change

Resilience

A flair, enthusiasm and interest in Quality

A willingness to learn and develop skills

Good at fault finding

Competent in programming language or willingness to learn (desirable)



This is a postgraduate placement opportunity, which will provide the successful candidate with 2 years worth of fantastic hands on work experience within a busy function.



The work pattern for this role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm, and the salary is £22836.
