Senior RAN (Radio Access Network) Test Engineer

Requirements

2G, 3G, 4G/LTE RAN and VoLTE testing

Solid working knowledge of 4G Radio Access Network technology including parameterisation and optimisation management

Extensive recent experience in LTE system integration, testing and troubleshooting (system logs, OS logs, UE logs, network logs, etc.)

RAN Integration knowledge and experience and proven track history

Strong end-to-end RAN knowledge with focus on 4G

RAN Technologies (vRAN, Small Cells, MIMO, Timing and Sync with GPS, PTP)

Understanding of Networking Protocols like IP, TCP, SCTP, IPSEC

Understanding of 3GPP standards, including procedures, call flows, KPI, statistics

End-to-end testing, in all areas - IMS calls (eNodeB, MME, SGW, PCR, SBG, CSCF, MTAS)

Good understanding of Layer 2 & 3 messages, RRC/RLC Layers.

Analysing and diagnosing main RF Issues like Dropped calls, Blocked calls, Poor coverage, Handover Failures, Interference, RACH failures etc

Good experience in analysing the Core Network elements issues like SGSN, GGSN, MSC, Media Gateway, MME, SGW, PGW

Working Knowledge or Testing Nokia and Ericsson RAN



Should have:

Analysing and diagnosing MC QCI Issues

Extensive knowledge is testing Mission Critical Service

Experience with working with Loadgenerators (IXIA and Viavi)

Experience on RAN KPI testing
