Ocean Import Operations Clerk

Quality Freight Services Ltd – Manchester, are looking for an Experienced Ocean Import Operations Clerk to join their growing team.

This position will offer an opportunity to increase your experience and progress your career within the freight industry.

A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within the Ocean operational industry is essential.

This role is office based and would require an initial focus on handling sea freight shipments from end to end. You will also be involved in commercial activities such as quoting and following up with clients. The expectation will be to always provide a personal and professional service.

22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (Rising up to 28 Days)

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 Years Freight Forwarding Experience in Sea, essential.
• Knowledge of Import procedures.
• Understanding of custom clearance
• The ability to build and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Must be hard working with a positive attitude.

• Obtain Quotes
• Create Job Loads
• Liaising with suppliers/customers
• Generate Invoices
• Order Processing
• Help cover for the account managers dealing with and organising freight when we have holidays/ sickness/ out of the office.
• Customs requests from our in house team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
