We are hiring an automated QA Tester to support our growing software engineering team.




The QA Tester will be required to create, maintain, audit and improve testing systems to meet business needs. We are looking for someone to work alongside the development team to test efficiently in order to improve the product and customer experience, analyse root cause of defects, perform reviews and facilitate overall system quality. This is a new role, so the QA Tester will be helping to define the development process and build out the departmental test coverage using a risk based approach.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities




Actively participate in planning, estimation, and prioritisation processes to ensure successful execution of QA activities




Create test scripts for new product features based on the product roadmap




Perform execution of test cases and test scripts against our tech stack




Conduct post-release functional and user acceptance testing




Performing regression tests for new and old features




Capture test results, and test metrics and report and analyse them




Execute root cause analysis of defects and escalate to dev team and Engineering Director




Create and maintain relevant documentation to describe test setup, execution, and QA processes




Take accountability for all test related activities within a test phase




Define appropriate test coverage to mitigate the identified risks




Demonstrate continuous improvement in your product and system knowledge




Develop skills and experience of manual testing tools




Identify opportunities for improving Sage testing standards




Keep up to date with relevant testing tools / techniques




Skills and Experience




Proven experience as an automated Quality Assurance Tester or similar role




Motivated and capable of multitasking




Detail-oriented and an analytical thinker




Fast learner and adaptable to new experiences




Good troubleshooting skills




General familiarity with a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools




Experience using Jira for issue and project tracking (nice to have)




Excellent communication and collaboration skills




Be an active and enthusiastic team player




Passion for Climate Tech and the Environment




Experience writing end-to-end web tests using the Cypress test framework




Experience writing Postman test scripts




Experience in Typescript or Javascript
