Role Overview & Specifications

Job description:Architectural and town planning technicians perform a variety of technical support functions to assist architects and planners with the design of buildings and the layout of urban and rural areas. investigates proposed design with regard to practicality, cost and use; prepares building plans, drawings and specifications for use by contractors liaises with engineers and building contractors regarding technical construction problems and attends site meetings on behalf of architect; surveys land and property uses and prepares the report for planning authority; issues development permits as authorised; checks that completed work conforms to specifications.

Skills, qualifications and experience needed

An eye for detail and design, with the ability to visualise objects in three dimensions (3D) Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite,a logical and practical approach to problem-solving, planning and organisation skills. leadership skills and a willingness to take on responsibility good communication skills, as interaction with other professionals, authorities and clients occurs frequently the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team the capacity to work under pressure.

Experience

Min 1-2 years in a relevant industry/field.

Qualification:Min Degree preferably in Architecture or town planning.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
