SEO Manager, Expansion MarketsΒ

The SEO Manager sits at the intersection of content strategy and product visibility, working across traditional and AI search to ensureΒ SharkNinjaΒ shows up wherever customers are looking.Β This isΒ a hands-on, delivery-focused role is responsible for improving organic visibility and revenue.Β The SEOΒ Manager works closely with content, merchandising, UX, product, and performance teams to make SEO a given, not an afterthought, using data to prove its value and translating performance into clear, actionable recommendations that connect directly to business outcomes.Β
Key ResponsibilitiesΒ
Traditional SEOΒ
- Facilitate the implementation of our SEO strategy in expansion markets, recognising market specific nuancesΒ Β
- OptimiseΒ on-page elements, includingΒ copy, meta content,Β headersΒ and internal linking structureΒ
- Own the organic blog and informational content roadmap to build topical authorityΒ Β Β
- IdentifyΒ content gaps through competitor analysis and search demand dataΒ Β
- Brief and work alongside copywriters andΒ complianceΒ teams to ensure content meets search intentΒ and is legally soundΒ
- Collaborate with the PR team and agencies to ensure we have a best-in-class link acquisition strategyΒ
- Support DTC campaigns by aligning search strategy with copywriters, creative, and performance teams toΒ maximiseΒ discoverability and impactΒ Β Β
- Work alongside the Performance Marketing team to support the Paid Media leads inΒ maximisingΒ cross-channel budget efficienciesΒ
- Stay up to date with search engine algorithm changes and adapt strategies accordingly toΒ maintainΒ or improve rankingsΒ
- Advocate SEO best practices and the benefits of SEO to the wider teamΒ

Merchandising SEOΒ
- Conduct out in-depth,Β localisedΒ keyword research toΒ identifyΒ opportunities for existing categories,Β productsΒ and NPDs
- Optimize coreΒ category and product pagesΒ toΒ increaseΒ organic visibilityΒ and revenueΒ
- IdentifyΒ and addressΒ cannibalizationΒ across pages and productsΒ Β
- Work withΒ product teams andΒ merchandisers to align on category structure and naming conventionsΒ
- Report on weekly and monthly performance against forecast and KPIβsΒ
- Take a data-driven approach and continuously look for ways toΒ optimize SEO performance, and where relevant, automateΒ

AI Search & Future ReadinessΒ
- Structure product and category page content to win featured snippets, People Also Ask boxes, and AI OverviewsΒ
- IdentifyΒ andΒ optimize for question-based search patterns across all page typesΒ
- Monitor AI Overview appearances in Google Search Console and third-party toolsΒ
- Track where brand and product names appear (orΒ don'tΒ appear) in AI-generated responses across Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and similar tools, flagging gaps and opportunitiesΒ
- Stay current with emerging Generative EngineΒ OptimisationΒ (GEO) best practices and contribute to an internal testing frameworkΒ
- Develop guardrails to ensure any AI informed content meets Googleβs guidelinesΒ

Skills & ExperienceΒ
EssentialΒ
- At least one additional language, multiple preferred (Spanish, Dutch, or Italian desirable)
- 4 years of hands-on content SEO experience in an ecommerce environmentΒ
- In-depth knowledge and experience of content SEO best practiceΒ
- Confident use of Google Search Console, SEMrush, Looker Studio, Google Analytics, and PowerBIΒ
- Solid understanding ofΒ on-pageΒ optimisationΒ and keyword researchΒ
- Experience developing a blog content calendar, conducting article keyword research, and developing content briefs
- Familiarity with AEO practices: featured snippet targeting, People Also Ask, FAQ schemasΒ
- Strong written communication skills - able to brief and edit content clearlyΒ
