YOUR PART IN OUR JOURNEY

This is a great opportunity to join Commercial Finance on a permanent basis to support Finance

Business Partnering services including FP&A and decision support.

Reporting into Senior Finance Business Partner, the role requires someone who is willing to learn,

take on new challenges and develop their commercial finance skills.

You will get the opportunity to develop your existing finance skills to work across multiple functions

supporting the business with ambitious growth plans



YOUR PART IN THE TEAM



Own budgeting (incl. Business Case) and planning (LE & OP) exercises for Commission and Shared Service Functions. Constructively challenge key assumptions to ensure robustness of the plan. Attribute forecasting variance against previous forecast and actual result, drawing out actionable insights.

Own performance appraisal (incl. implement and track functional KPI's, input to monthly management and Board reviews), and ad-hoc requests from (raise, track and operationalize requests with BI team when needed - subject to FD endorsement) Commission and Shared Service Functions.

Assist operational finance team on month end closing with a focus on B/S - (pre-paid commission), pro-actively collaborate on continuous improvements that enhance quality of the reporting (e.g. broker performance)

Collaborate with Senior B2B Finance Business Partner to ensure consistency of month end reporting for SG&A and Commission

Proactively identify and drive liquidity optimization initiatives to improve cost control and business cost ownership

Ofgem and other adhoc reporting preparation



WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HELP YOU MAKE THE BEST OF THE ROLE



Leaner’s mindset – ability and willingness to learn as prerequisite to thrive in a dynamic environment

Fundamental accounting skill – ability to articulate P&L and B/S implication of commercial and operational decisions, ability to interpret MoM/QoQ movements in P&L and B/S in plain business language.

Analytical skill – Proficiency in data manipulation tools – Excel is essential, SQL, Power BI etc. is desirable. Problem solving through ability to form and test hypothesis based on data analytics.

Business partnering – ability to prioritize and focus on high impact activities; ability to build trust and work with senior management; good communication skill is essential – manage expectation, consistent narrative, deliver honest feedback on performance and start to pitch at different level (functional team, execs, Board)
