Job Purpose




Plan and coordinate the execution and production of Instore Customer facing promotional material for Superdrug both in the UK and Eire (60%). Plan and coordinate the execution of new store openings, signage packs, local marketing, store takeovers, statutory POS and permanent POS artwork (40%).






Key Responsibilities





Promotional (60% of role):


Create and deliver innovative, best in class instore marketing plans that attract and retain customers, driving conversion for the Superdrug healthcare market group instore


Collaborate, coordinate and challenge Commercial and Own Brand teams, suppliers & agencies to prepare strong, market leading instore Marketing campaigns to engage customers and drive sales.


Ensure key strategic promotions are effectively & consistently communicated throughout the store with an eye for detail for what’s right for our customers.


Produce and communicate inspiring briefs and deliver accuracy in all in-store customer communication.


Continually seek to identify solutions and processes that drive improvement and efficiency.


Manage agreed budgets and timescales both in the planning and reporting. Ability to confidently negotiate costs with suppliers and track savings


Undertake various administrative tasks for the role and where required to support others within the marketing team.


Undertake exciting new projects as and when required.


New stores/Signage Packs/Local Marketing/Store Takeovers ( 40% of role)


Organising and delivering all new store requirements from a POS perspective, and managing new opportunities that may arise. Reviewing current practices to ensure efficient process ongoing.


Continue to build brand guidelines/best practice for signage packs. As the guideline owner, ensure agencies’ signage packs are on brand and are fit for purpose in-store when liaising with wider business contacts and external agencies


Approving store takeovers from brands from an external agency and documenting approvals from area managers


Collaborating with internal teams on artwork for permanent POS for non-category specific areas. Also needs to regularly track all permanent POS going into stores.


Deliver local marketing plans and scope for other opportunities


Consistent collaboration across various teams, stakeholders of all levels and external agencies in a professional manner to deliver activity across new stores, signage packs, store takeovers, permanent POS and local marketing


To ensure spend is tracked regularly and deliver within your budget in your areas.







What you’ll need to succeed


Experience working in fast paced marketing environment (operational/visual merchandising)


An understanding of marketing retail principles


Creative vision


Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to influence at all levels.


Good understanding and experience working cross-functionally, campaign management and brand development


Experience in handling multiple projects in a fast paced environment with ad-hoc requests as a self-starter


Excellent attention to detail


Flexible and adaptable to change


Basic finance skills


Confident energetic approach
