Weβre on the βlookoutβ for a Website Developer to join our rapidly growing, full-service digital marketing agency. We want talented people, but more importantly, we want straight-talking, honest and committed people with a can-do attitude.
Weβre based in Maidstone Studios and weβre in there Monday-Friday because we love our hi-spec, comfortable office space. Weβre looking for someone who would be office based, so we can work closely, as a team. We appreciate that everyone has a life outside of work, so we offer flexitime, and we are open to discussing any flexible requirements you may have, but just to be clear, this isnβt an opportunity for a fully remote role (sorry if thatβs what you were looking for and have read this far).
WHO WE ARE
Established for just 18 months, weβre making noise in our sector. Already known for saying it how it is and being far from boring, weβre making a name for ourselves as intelligent digital marketers who know their s***, but have fun whilst doing it.
Focused on servicing the construction industry, we smashed our first-year target in less than six months. Weβre currently a team of seven and now, with some exciting client wins and impressive projects, we are looking to grow further with a Website Developer, extending our ability to deliver exceptional output for our clients.
WHO WEβRE LOOKING FOR
Have you got a background in front-end development and enjoy translating design prototypes into exceptional web experiences? Our Web Developer will be responsible for building websites and software solutions, as well as maintaining and growing our clientsβ existing sites.
You will need to have good knowledge of:
- WordPress, and ideally WooCommerce, for custom website development
- Front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5 and jQuery
- MySQL for database management and migrations
- Adobe XD, Sketch or Figma files for building out sites
- SEO best practices
- Integrating third-party APIβs
Do you need to know about the construction industry? Absolutely not. But you do need to be keen to learn about it - itβs not as boring as it sounds!
WHAT WEβRE OFFERING
Youβll be part of a team where we encourage personal growth and celebrate each otherβs successes. We want people who have a desire to continually learn, develop and gain new skills.Weβll treat you with respect and always be straight-talking with you. Oh, and weβll pay you! In the region of Β£28-32K, depending on the experience you can bring.Youβll also get 25 days paid holiday in year 1 (increasing with each year of service), your birthday off, private health insurance, a gym membership and some pretty decent colleagues!
The Digital Lookout brand is seriously important to us, as is a company culture that personifies our brand values: βno bullshit, just hard work and resultsβ. Weβre dedicated to proving what marketing can do, and of constantly exceeding expectations.
If this sounds like you and you like the sound of us, get in touch with connor@thedigitallookout.co.uk.
