The Role:
Hours: up to 25 hrs per week, with some flexibility


We are looking for a Finance Administrator who will play a key role providing finance administration support to the Finance Manager with aspects of financial duties for the company.


Core Objectives

Responsibilities


  • To assist with ensure the smooth efficient running of the finance administration function.

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of all financial transactions, including petty cash, banking, accounts payable and assist with sales invoices on our Sage accounting software.

  • Support with Payroll, using Sage.

  • Assisting with all aspects of credit control and the preparation of monthly payments

  • Resolving queries internally and with external contractors/organisations

  • Assisting with sales ledger; following up any outstanding payments

  • Assisting with the preparation of information for monthly and year end accounts

  • Maintain company databases and spreadsheets.

  • Prepare a range of documents, invoices, credit notes, letters.

  • Creating reports on income and expenditure against budgets.


Our ideal candidate

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:


  • AAT level 2 or 3 would be an advantage, along with demonstratable Bookkeeping experience.

  • Previous experience of working within a finance role or as part of a finance team

  • Competent with MS office, Excel, Sage, or similar accounting package

  • Good team working skills as well as being able to work on own initiative.

  • You’ll have a keen eye for detail, good record keeping skills and the ability and drive to follow problems through to resolution.

  • Highly motivated, energetic, tenacious, driven, solution focused and with a “can do” attitude.
