Personal Care Assistant for a young boy P/T @ £11.91/hr in Berwick-upon-tweed - FTE £24.8k

We are looking to recruit a committed enabler to support a 8 year old young boy who has a diagnosis of autism. The support will be offered to provide a range of activities within the local community to include walks in the park, countryside, and woodlands. On occasions drives out in the car.

Main Duties

• To support for 4 hours per week in school holidays with activities in the local community with an additional 4 hours (8 per week x 6 weeks) in the summer holidays
• To build a secure relationship with the young boy and his family
• To encourage interactions appropriate to the activities being accessed
• To prompt the young boy with toileting needs when required
• To administer medication if required and full training will be provided

Essential Criteria

• Have a high degree of initiative.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Be flexible.
• Have a happy positive caring nature.
• Have an outgoing personality.

Out of pocket expenses will be met by the Employer. This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references (Cost to be met by Employer). Car driver is essential and must have Business Insurance.
