Job Title:Order Picker


Department: Operations


Reports to:Warehouse Manager


Roles reporting to this role: N/A



Principle Purpose of Position:



As an Order Picker you will be responsible for receiving, processing, picking, packing and despatching/loading stock to be delivered to our customers and contractors in a timely manner. You will also keep products separated, organized and monitor product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.



Key Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Picking and packing items in the warehouse, ready for dispatch

  • Loading/unloading vehicles and containers

  • Counting, checking goods in

  • Supporting stock counts

  • General housekeeping

  • All other warehouse duties as required



Skills:



  • Basic maths, reading, and writing skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times

  • Physically capable of manual labour that includes lifting, bending, and reaching

  • Able to lift 25kg on a regular basis

  • Able to work 8.5 hour shifts standing

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team



Qualifications


  • Forklift truck licence preferred but not essential


Experience


  • Proven experience working in a production environment preferred but not essential
